Coming up on Sunday, June 3rd
[image: Adam Stone] This week at the Asylum Boston poet and all around nice
guy *Adam Stone* will be our feature. Stone has been on eight national slam
teams, has been Boston's Champion of Champions since July of 2005, and has
been Cape Cod's Spoken Word Poet Laureate since January 2000, yet he still
has no idea how judges' minds work. When he's not waiting tables and reading
poems at The Cantab Lounge in Cambridge, he hosts a weekly writing,
drinking, and gossiping group out of his apartment. He's been published in
an variety of zines, websites, and appears on an assortment of CD poetry
anthologies. None of this impresses his mother.
Join us at the Java Hut, 1073A Main Street in Worcester. The sign-up list
goes up around 7:00 p.m. and the open mic will start sometime after that.
The feature follows the open mic. No cover; bring a few bucks for the bucket
to help pay the feature and to buy a tasty beverage in support of the venue.

May 27th Revisited
Fantastic week at the Asylum with not one but two voices in our feature.
Denver poets *Katie Wirsing* and *Andrea Gibson* shared their poetry and
stories from their tour in their 35 minute set. The performed a mix of dual
voice and individual works with a couple of covers capping both end of the
feature. They were energetic and well-prepared, rocking the audience with
vigor. Thanks for the words ladies!

[image: Photo Album] <http://www.poetsasylum.org/photo.html> Earlier this
month we fixed the problems with the photo gallery software (hooray!) and
uploaded new photos from the features of Molly Meacham, Barbara Alder, and
the Lady Business tour (Susan B. Anthony Somers-Willett and Genevieve Van
Cleve).
You can check out all of the photos by visiting poetsasylum.org and clicking
the Photos button in the navigation area.
