Coming up Sunday, November 11th
[image: Poetic Boxing] This at the Asylum we'll hold the next *open
qualifying slam* of the 2007/2008 Slam Season. A poetry slam is a
performance poetry competition. Anyone can participate. Poets are given
three minutes to step up to the mic and perform one original poem of their
own construction. Folks chosen from the audience judge the performance and
the poetry. The top 2 finishers in this weeks competition move onto the
Winter Semi-final in December.
Join us at the Java Hut (1073A Main Street, Worcester). The open mic sign-up
list goes out around 7:00 p.m. and the reading starts closer to 7:30 p.m. No
cover; please throw some money in the bucket to support the feature.

November 4th Revisited
After a jam-packed open mic (that included a herd of poets from Hampshire
College & surprise visits from New Jersey) our feature Rob Ceriani from
Denver stormed the stage. Rob rocked the room with a high energy &
well-crafted set that left the place buzzing. Thanks again to Rob for a
wonderful feature.
