Hello again from the Poets' Asylum. We neglected to include the event below
in our weekly e-mail. Please come out and support the youth slammers!

Worcester Youth Slam Saturday Night

Join the Worcester Youth Slam for a special *Open Invitational Tryout* for
the 2008 Worcester Youth Slam Team on Saturday, April 26th. This special
event will be held at The Q Cafe (362 Chandler Street, Worcester) and will
start at 7:00 p.m.

This is a ONE TIME ONLY EVENT - no feature or open mic. They are trying to
put a team of 4-6 youth poets (age 13-19) together for a trip to the 11th
Annual Brave New Voices National Youth Slam Festival (www.youthspeaks.org)
to compete against 44 teams from around the country this July in Washington,
DC.

The youth slam is looking to hopefully re-establish a regular reading and
slam series in September. Meanwhile come out and support this special event
if you can.
