Happy New Year from the Poets' Asylum.
------------------------------
Coming up on Sunday, January 6th

Join us for the first Asylum gathering of 2008. We kick off the new year
with a feature by *Mike McGee* and *Robbie Q*. Along with various local and
regional poetry slam titles, McGee is the first slam poet to win both the
American National Poetry Slam Individual Grand Championship, in 2003, and
the Individual World Poetry Slam Championship, in 2006. Robbie Q. has been a
featured performer in the poetry shows of over 30 major North American
cities and finished 8th at the 2007 National Poetry Slam in Austin, TX.

Join us at The Q Cafe <http://theqma.com/> (362 Chandler Street,
Worcester). The open mic sign-up list goes out around 7:00
p.m. and the reading starts closer to 7:30 p.m. No cover; please throw some
money in the bucket to support the feature. This is sure to be hot show so
come on down.

December 30th Revisited

The Asylum packed our new venue this week in our inaugural reading at The Q
Cafe <http://theqma.com/>. Thanks to everyone who came out for what we hope
will be a long stay at this great little coffee house. Thanks too to Emilee
and the staff for making us feel right at home. Our first feature @ the new
venue (and the last feature of 2007) was *Chris Fortin*. Chris brought a mix
of new and old work, plus a couple of excellent covers, for his set. It was
an excellent was to break in our new space. Good to have you back, if only
for one night Chris.

Come out next week for Mighty Mike McGee and Robbie Q.
