BSPJ Workshop Sunday Afternoon
[image: BSPJ image] This Sunday, May 4th, Ballard Street Poetry
Journal<http://www.ballardstreetpoetryjournal.com/>will host their
next
*Poetry Workshop* between 3 and 5 p.m. at the offices of the Worcester
County Poetry Association <http://wcpa.homestead.com/> (1 Ekman Street,
first floor, Worcester). This week *Emily Ferrara* will facilitate a
workshop titled *Word Alchemy*. This workshop is designed to tap into the
playful and transformational power of language, in order to generate raw
material for new poems. We will draw from both traditional and experiential
approaches to writing, including the Amherst Writers and Artists (AWA)
method, and the Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics.
Suggested donation of $3 to $5. For more info please visit the BSPJ
website<http://www.ballardstreetpoetryjournal.com/>

April 27th Revisited
*Amy Steinberg* artfully combined spoken word, music and singing using her
guitar. She involved the audience with the music and had everyone in
hysterics with a story concerning a dildo. She also offered a fine cover of
Ani DiFranco and reminded everyone how good it is to enjoy themselves at a
performance. Thank you, Amy!
