Coming up on Sunday, February 15th
This week the Poets' Asylum welcomes Albany, NY raised, Brooklyn based *Caitlin
Meissner* to our stage. Meissner is a poet, performer, educator and graphic
designer with a BFA from Pratt Institute. Using her background in visual
art, anti-racism work, disability advocacy and youth empowerment, her poems
are visually rich testaments to the complexities of the human spirit. As a
performer, she has featured for the progressive literary collective
louderArts; and has performed on countless stages.
Please join us at Jumpin' Juice and Java (335 Chandler Street, Worcester).
The reading starts at *6:00 p.m.* No cover; please throw some money in the
bucket to support the feature.

February 8th Revisited
Heck of a night at the Poets' Asylum this past Sunday night with an
overflowing open mic and a feature by Two Sensitive Guys *Sam Teitel *
and *Steve
Subrizi*. Thanks to the gang from Lowell who paid us a visit and shared
their words in the open mic. Do come again.
Sam and Steve performed a well practiced set with quieter work mixed with
slam ready performance pieces. Adding a bit of guitar back-up just uped the
fun quotient. With pterodactyl, zombie babies, preaching poetry and a call
to Batman they filled the our minds with something new and more to think
upon. Thanks for the words guys; it was worth the wait.
------------------------------
The Poets' Asylum is in its seventeenth year of bringing the best in
